华威那一年的乌托邦式的前进的热血的liberal study,在我离开后再次如此清晰地重新浮现眼前,而这一年回忆早已开始模糊。看到Sex Discrimination and the Law这节课,仿佛回到Stephanie的课堂上,听s讲那些别人很容易忽视,却的确matter的细节之处的歧视。关于工作歧视的法条那里真的是无比似曾相识。我这个social science学生又按耐不住想写论文的心了,更忍不住去想s看这部电影的感受,她一定会看的吧。想做RBG和s那样的老师,可是有生之年,我们会走多远?我像观影《妇女参政论者》一样认真学习做笔记。电影结尾,伴着过去RBG的辩护录音,她本人亲自出现在最高法院之前,泪眼模糊中,我承认无论如何自欺欺人,我还是梦想着改变世界。
看完好像得到一种epiphany,没有怒火当然不行,可是仅凭一腔怒火和自说自话的假想,却只会把原本可能有的敏感和灵气蒙蔽掉,取而代之的只有毫无实用的愤世嫉俗和尖酸刻薄。Keep my emotion in check,我恐怕自己却是做不到了。“Deeds not words”,我知道《妇女参政论者》里最重要的是这一句。可是我却在做什么?第一步又该从哪开始?70年代的美国还要翻越珠峰般一条一条修改众多有歧视色彩的法律,而50年之后,我们又会走在哪里?
