Richard King was born in Tampa, Florida and attended the University of South Florida graduating with a BFA in painting and film.Since 1985 he has worked in film sound design. Richard has been fortunate to work with such directors as 尼古拉斯·罗伊格, M. Night Shyamalan, 罗伯特·奥特曼, 保罗·托马斯, 威廉·弗莱德金, 彼得·威尔, 史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格, and 克里斯托弗·诺兰.
