After the closure of the movie studio in 1985, Mona Fong later rose to the position of chairwoman of TVB, Hong Kong's titan television network as well as chief executive for Shaw's remaining motion picture subsidiary Cosmopolitan Film Company and primary shareholder of the Hong Kong's Shaw Brothers Empire second only to Run Run Shaw.
